Project 1
Form and Function
Architectural Design 2 - Arc 257
This project heavily focuses on the balancing with how something appears and its practical use in structures that are both creative and functional. For this project we are given the assignment of redesigning a existing bridge to let water traffic pass through a 30' x 40' opening, which made us consider carefully both the design's form and function.

Movement Analogies
For this part we had to gather three household items that have at least two plus hinges as apart of their mechanical system and then chose three of these items we want to use for the bridge opening. The three items that I want to use are Eyelash Curler, Umbrella, and Vice Grip. We then took the items and made 3-D models of them and diagramed out the functions of each item for a better understanding of their mechanics before putting them into our prototypes.
